DescriptionOur client, a successful photography company from Australia, is currently looking to automate their business. They work with photographs and are now changing the manual steps into a Machine Learning solution. They need a Senior Engineer (Python / JQuery) who will accelerate development towards MVP and beyond to start by the latest August.
Tasks
- Implementing a powerful automated image processing engine including, but not limited to
? Image recognition
? Object detection
? Image segmentation / Object extraction
? Composition of multiple elements by pre-defined parameters
- Collaborating closely with the founders and engineers to define and plan the above in detail
- Conducting code reviews
- Designing the architecture for all systems needed to go-live
- Overseeing / implementing all services around this
- Implementing all consumer facing services (website, purchase flow, printer service API etc.) needed to go live
As a senior member of the core team you will collaborate on a daily basis with the head of product, head of creative and the CVO. You will help shape the feature roadmap, contribute to resource and implementation planning as well as the implementation of the MVP, which will be the team’s first focus.
- Python (Expert)
- JavaScript (jQuery, AJAX) (Expert)
- Image Processing (Expert)
- Track record in various projects around image alteration / recognition / segmentation
- RESTful APIs
- AWS (Lamda, S3, EC2)
- Great communicator (Esp. in regards to sprint demos, but transparent with raising concerns, asking questions etc.)
- Experience with processes in Adobe Photoshop a plus
