Data Engineer for 6+ months asap (Remote)Python, Pandas, NumPy, ETL, Flask, AWS
For my client I am seeking a data engineer for a long term project. Part of your activities will be to enhance a cloud-based data pipeline for different applications. You will setup and maintain reliable and scalable ETL workflows that bring together several datasets from various sources into a centralized storage platform. In addition to that you will assist in the development of the Machine Learning pipelines that produce enhanced data products for downstream applications. You support also in maintaining the data catalogs and analysis-ready data access for different stakeholders and you develop API services for providing efficient and scalable access to internal and public products for several applications. The project is remote, after pandemic there are some Onsite meetings in the western part of Germany.
These are your qualifications:
• 3-4 years of professional experience with Python and data structures within the Python ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience in the design and implementation of ETL Workflows in the Cloud (Prefect, Airflow)
• Knowledge in Web Frameworks and standards for building API Services (Flask, OpenAPI, FastAPI)
• Test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD Pipelines
• Knowledge in data lakes, SQL / NoSQL databases
• Knowhow in AWS Cloud Services and infrastructure (Lambda, Batch)
• Nice to have: Terraform (iaac) and Spark
• Team oriented, proactive and communicative
• Project language: English (German nice to have)
