Our client, has asked us to find them a German speaking Data Scientists freelancer for a full time initial 6 month contract. The role will initially be remote but then the freelancer will be expected to work on site in Frankfurt when the situation improves.You will join a team that develops agile processes in the areas of big data analytics, mathematical optimization and simulation that are used across the company to help make planning and operating processes more efficient.
The data scientist supports the project team with the acquisition, viewing and connection of new data sources from different business fields, the selection of attributes for given analysis and planning tasks as well as the development of algorithms for data processing in the present planning context of vehicle maintenance. The interpretation of the results of the planning models in a technical context as well as basic (ad-hoc) visualizations of results are also part of the range of activities.
Main Activities:
Proactive familiarization with the technical context of the project
Inclusion of analysis/modeling requirements from the project team
Management of the requirements in Jira
Support in the conceptual development of the analyzes
Integration of new data sources into the data model
Versatile database access, if necessary to business field databases
Design and implement data pre-/post-processing algorithms with Python Service description - Downstream competition "Data Intelligence"
Visualization of the results and data storytelling for the project manager and project team
Documentation in Confluence
Code management in GitLab
Required Skills
Min. 3 years of experience in data science with Python
Experience in leading at least two data science projects
Good knowledge of SQL
Experience regarding CI/CD with GitLab
Experience in working with respondents, data providers and requesters who are not in the same project team
Complimentary Skills
Experience working in agile teams
Experience in data storytelling
Experience with project management in Jira
Experience with knowledge management in Confluence
Good knowledge of professional software development in Python including documentation in Sphinx and automatic testing
Experience regarding the development and provision of interactive cockpits in Plotly Dash
Experience in using cloud services from Amazon Web Services
