Tasks
• Conception and design of the company-wide national/international voice and video network
• Project management and evaluation of telecommunications solutions according to customer-specific requirements
• Solution alignment with internal departments, such as IT purchasing and strategic product vendors
• Technical responsibility for a self-organized product team
• Product discovery and translation into functional requests
• Ensure service availability and measure service performance
• Continuous optimization of the system landscape (Life Cycle Management)
• Service Level Management
• Product-related license management
• Customer/stakeholder communication, requirements engineering, presentations
• Leadership in handling technical issues and escalations
• Ensuring the agreed service level (7x24h availability) in business-critical environments
• Coordination of external service providers
Skills
• Good technical background:
o Expertise in SIEMENS/UNIFY, CISCO and Microsoft telecommunications systems including sub-systems and peripherals
o Expert knowledge of CISCO and Microsoft video communication platforms and their terminal technologies, also in the high-end area such as telepresence systems
o Knowledge of IP networks and here in particular of network connection technologies and protocols such as All-IP, ISDN, SIP, TCIP, DNS, etc.
o Knowledge of communication components such as session border controllers (ORACLE), telematics and alarm servers (OSCAR), ACD systems (ASPECT, GENESYS), call accounting systems and other trade-specific systems and solutions.
