Responsibilities:
Lead a small team of project managers to plan, schedule and manage all SI activities with 3 rd parties related to the delivery of a major BSS solution to a key UK customer
Agree documents such as NDAs, PIDs, SoWs, project plans, etc with 3 rd parties related to the BSS project
Manage 3 rd parties to deliver required documentation, interfaces and/or custom deliverables
Ensure 3 rd party testing is scheduled and completed in line with overall project plan
Provide regular status reporting to all stakeholders, including Programme Governance Meetings
Attend regular 3 rd party meetings
Note that this role will require extensive periods of time working at the customer site as well as occasional meetings at 3 rd party sites within the UK
Qualifications:
Very strong project manager experience in dealing with 3 rd party and SI management
5 years minimum experience as a Project Manager in complex, large scale telco projects with significant SI activity
Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries, and operate successfully in an intense business environment
Ability to work with customers, internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors
Strong negotiation skills
Strong influencing skills
Ability to lead a small team and work as part of that team
Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations
Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations
Ability to provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports
Ability to work independently
Fluent communication in English
Essential experience:
2-3 years minimum experience of SI management
Proven ability to interact within a multicultural environment
Experience of the software development life cycle
Essential qualification(s):
Diploma, degree or above in a relevant discipline.
Recognised project management qualification desirable but not essential
