On behalf of one of our clients, an international financial institution, located in Frankfurt, we are searching for external support with skills and abilities as stated below:
Project -/Release Manager CCP (f/m) financial area Frankfurt
Project Details
Our client is looking for an experienced Release Manager to manage and plan the current and upcoming Central Counterparty (CCP) releases and in addition to take care of the CCP maintenance accordingly.
All CCP related changes of the running projects need to be coordinated and integrated in the current CCP-System.
Project Description and Context
The Release Manager is fully responsible and accountable for the technical CCP releases and works closely with the CCP functional and business Relationship manager, the CCP application owner as well as with the CCP IT Project Managers. Stakeholders need to be identified and the planned scope needs to be consolidated. Cross project risk management has to be performed inclusive the reporting about mitigating actions to the IT Project Managers.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Release Manager is fully responsible for the management of the Releases. In particular this includes:
- Leading and controlling IT stages of the CCP Releases life cycle from initiation, design, delivery and test to post implementation, adhering to known project methodologies and best practices.
- Full responsibility to delivery from design and specification to testing and implementation within time, scope, quality and budget.
- Organize the Release kick-off meeting
- Make sure the Release is consisting of all the agreed maintenance scope. Scope management for the participating IT projects will be done by the IT PMs themselves.
- Effective management of the release related risks and respective direct or indirect reporting to the Steering Committee.
- Correct budget and cost management of the maintenance budget.
- Responsible for the finalization and sign-off tracking of the release configuration delivery plan together with CCP Application development and IT PMs.
- Plan and lead the service implementation activities in the maintenance area, if applicable as well as the CCP cross-area meetings.
Requirements on the Project Manager
Qualification
- Project management methods must be known and must have been used in former projects (such as PMI or IPMA). A project management certification is of advantage.
- Additional requirements:
- Extensive experience with IT Project management and controlling
- Efficient stakeholder and scope management
- Very good communication skills, empathy and the ability to work in a team
- Ability to foresee the release related risks and propose the right mitigation actions
- Proficiency with project management related tools
Language Proficiency
Project language is English. Thus, written and spoken English is required.
Experience/SFIA level
SFIA level 5 (Project Manager).
Skills
In addition to project management qualification and the PM capabilities according to the required SFIA level, the following functional/technical skills are required:
- Professional experience in the financial markets/stock exchanges

The project manager is expected to be based in Eschborn.
