Background

My client is a major bank involved in securities transactions, in particular the clearing of equities and

Derivatives: Central Counter Party (CCP) and Target 2 Settlement (T2S).

As part of their on-going product development they are now looking for a Business Acceptance Test (BAT) Analyst (also referred to as User Acceptance Testing, UAT).

Tasks:

Test Modelling and User Acceptance testing;
Preparation and execution of functional test models for CCP based on functional specifications (release tests);
Develop test cases based on system documentation to ensure that already existing parts still work as designed (regression testing);
Participate in end-to-end tests with third-party systems;
Defect reporting and defect tracking and re-tests;
Interact with in-house IT in order to determine necessary changes. Additionally, interact with in-house technical and functional operations during the test execution;
Understand the concept and write functional requirement specifications based on business requirements, write member release notes and member documentation;

Essential Skills:

Professional experience in the financial markets/stock exchanges, especially in the clearing and settlement areas;
Experience of functional software testing (methods/practical) in large projects. Candidates with Test Certification will have an advantage.

Profound knowledge in CCP and its clearing functionality and post trade processes (preferablyT2S);
Any previous experience in Clearing CCP or T2S projects will be a major plus;

Experience in the clearing business, preferably with other clearing organisations (eg. Clearstream, Euroclear, LCH, clearing operations of investment banks, stock exchanges, CSDs etc) will be a plus.
