- Good communication skills (written and verbally) in German and English
- Should have ITIL knowledge and worked in L2/L3 Support engagements
- Certified Teradata DBA professional & Certified Teradata Masters
- Over 8 years of working experience in Teradata Data Warehouse landscape
- Expertise in Teradata Administrator, TD Performance Monitor, Teradata Manager, Query Analyser, Toad, Priority Scheduler/UC4, winDDI, TDWM, ARC, Teradata Viewpoint, Teradata BTEQ
- Improved Performance optimizing Teradata SQL statements and various data loading strategies using Teradata Visual Explain
- Should have performed Teradata appliance installations
- Should have knowledge on handling & Configuring Teradata Hot/Cold/Warm data
- Sound knowledge on TD14.0 Capacity planning and consideration process (ie block level compression, temperature based comphression mechanism and data storage, Teradata Virtual Storage).
- Enhanced existing processes to run more efficiently by working on PPI, Skew, Joins, AJIs, workload management and Compression.
- Executed Admin tasks using TD Administrator, ViewPoint, TD Manager such as workload activity, space utilization, statistics collection, and system performance monitoring
- Should have worked in Teradata data migration projects
- Should be able to perform data reconciliations and testing of Teradata DWH
- Should have worked in typical Unit Testing and System Integration & Testing cycles for Teradata
- Should have experience in testing Teradata system under parallel runs in multiple environments
- Performed bulk data load from multiple data source like Oracle9i, SQL server, flat files to Teradata EDW, Created scripts using FastLoad, Multi-Load, TPump to load data
