IPTV System Integration Engineer - Darmstadt
(Initial contract for 3 months, payment based on a daily rate)
Responsibilities
- Software loading, configuration, integration, verification, and troubleshooting of existing solutions on a customer site or in a lab environment using the clients' products, 3rd party or customized packages
- Provide ongoing customer support throughout implementation
- Attend and participate in customer meetings for specific solutions and different areas
- Lead the investigation and isolation of unique and challenging problems collaborate with product development teams and other support groups to devise a plan for resolution that meets the customer's needs
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, both external and internal customers
- Delivery of support within predefined service level agreement
- Define methods and process to lead both customers and internal resources through technical issue deconstruction and analysis
- Report software bugs to product groups.
- Advise on potential software improvements during the design and pre-release process
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or acceptable equivalent of post-secondary education and experience
- Previous experience working in software design, testing and integration
- IPTV experience and strong knowledge of IP Networking and Internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Radius) and of network management and provisioning (XML, SNMP, Corba, LDAP, SOAP)
- Good knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols required
- Installation and configuration of Servers, Routers, and Switches highly desired
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work across groups by setting mutual goals, ensuring clarity of roles, and working together in ways which enhance business effectiveness
- English fluency both verbal and writing is essential, German is an advantage
