We are looking for a experienced Data Scientist With ML/DWH/NLP experience in West Germany to begin work with a dynamic E-commerce company posessing a growing product portfolio in a expanding and rapidly developing market.
We are looking for a individual who is able to implement business requirements together with our software systems engineer in a small agile team. Able to take a active role in the implementation of data processing (ETL routes) and analysis on Hadoop (Pig, Scalding, Hive, MapReduce. Provide customer advice on the placement of the application architecture and the use of fit-out of the Hadoop ecosystem to Tools
Candidates must have:
University degree in (business) computer science or other comparable studies
Practical experience with Apache Hadoop, Pig & Hive including UDFs, MapReduce, Java
Project experience in the conception, planning and implementation of migration and data quality projects
Experience in dealing with a BI Suite (SAS, Oracle, Cognos, ...)
Experience in data modelling (ER, ADAPT, ...)
Good level of written and spoken English and German - Other European languages are a benefit.
Desired qualities include:
Experience in the application of modelling languages such as UML, ER, ADAPT, etc.
Ideally, knowledge and experience in the field Big Data and knowledge and experience with BI Suite
Good knowledge of current analytics software like R, SPSS Modeler, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Stat or comparable products from other manufacturers
