On behalf of my client, an international insurance company, I am looking for backend support with skills and abilities as stated below.Tasks:
• develop new functionalities for the Data Science Platform
• evaluate new technologies in the field of cloud computing, distributed computing, data engineering and data science
• resolve incidents and change requests
• support customers
• write user guides, announcements, blog posts and best practices
• prepare webinars and trainings
Skills needed:
The platform is a diverse product, so I am aiming for a cross functional team consisting of T-shaped individuals.
• Experience with POSIX compliant operating systems (Linux, MacOS etc.)
• infrastructure as code
• metrics and log management
• virtualization
• computer networks
Software Development
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (there are components written in Go, Scala, Python, Elm, JavaScript, ...)
• Software engineering (design patterns, version control, automated testing, concurrent programming etc.)
• Continuous integration, deployment and delivery
Tools
• Issue tracking (Jira)
• Documentation (Markdown)
• Build infrastructure (Gitlab CI, Jenkins)
• Artifact repository (Nexus)
• Version control (Gitlab)
• Deployment and configuration automation (Ansible, Puppet)
Assignment:
Fulltime (100%)
Duration: 6 months (minimum)
Start: 02.07.2018
Location: Munich
