Signify Technology are currently working with one of Europe's largest retail companies. Active across several countries in Europe as well as America, my client is now looking for a Contract Scala Developer to assist in the continued growth of the business by helping grow their Data Platform. If you have a passion for Big Data and looking for your next opportunity where you can add real value to the team, this position could be ideal for you.
The Role
- Assist in building a scalable and performant data platform with AWS
- Develop frameworks & proactive monitoring solution to detect abnormalities
- Come up with ideas on how the team can use new technologies to improve team performance

- Be truly passionate about Scala & Big Data
- Confident to add value to the team with new idea
- Interested in new technologies
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Scala & Spark
- Experience with AWS
- Understanding of Data Warehouse Concepts
- Knowledge of SQL
- University Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related area
