For one of our clients we are looking for a Big Data Engineer (m/w)Project Description:
The role is for a Big Data Engineer position to be based in Germany. This role is to drive design, build and test Java, Flink and Big Data activities independently. German knowhow is a must as the role is customer interfacing.
To Design and Build the Event Processing Engine developed by Client Engineers with minimal onshore presence to deliver high quality output overcoming language barriers and build strong
Task Description:
• Be a Technical Consultant for the Event Processing Engine on Customer side
• Independently work on Flink, HDP Framework and Java Services to create events and manage all Services
• Design the Event Processing Engine and also enhancements to the same
• Deriving test scenarios / cases from use cases / requirement specifications
• Technical testing of the Event Processing Engine
Required skills:
• Lead the development of module/defined scope of work from requirements to go-live
• Well versed in Big Data technologies Flink and Hortonworks Development Platform from development perspective
• Well versed with programming Java 8 (SOAP and Web Services) along with Design Patterns
• Hands on experience tools like Gradle, Git, Vagrant, Salt, Jenkins
• Experienced in managing Events
• Ability to create detailed level solution approach and design in conjunction with Architect
• Conduct detail level component design sessions for team to help them understand and implement the components in line with the design
• Capable of providing an overall Code framework which can be industrialized by developers
• Work with Business & Data Analysts during the requirements analysis and design phase
• Develop Test Strategy, Plans, Cases for Unit Testing, along with actual Testing
• Strong problem solving and good analytical skills (defect analysis and reporting)
• Very good German and English language skills (written, spoken)

• Long exposure in Client facing roles
• Experience in multi located teams across geographies and cultures
• Functional and User Acceptance Test participation and support
