An exclusive opportunity to work alongside the inventor of Data Vault Dan Linstedt and his Co-author Michael Olschimke on an exciting Data Vault 2.0 project at a multinational corporation from the pharma industry.Our client has recently acquired a number of enterprises and is in the process of harmonizing all the different source systems.
No uniform information delivery system exists, which is why the client needs a certified Data Vault 2.0 (CDVP2) consultant to
- Analyse the source systems for Data Vault related staging,
- optimize existing structures, and
- support the on-site in building of the Business Vault.
- Furthermore, the consultant will be responsible for the successful delivery of business intelligence information to the entire organization.
For that purpose, the customer is using Informatica as their ETL tool, and ideally, candidates can show experience with other Informatica-related products such as the Informatica Big Data Edition, B2B Data Transformation Studio / Data Exchange, Data Integration Hub, Data Quality/Analyst, Master Data Management, Metadata Manager or PowerExchange.
Working as part of a BI team, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- sound understanding of BI best practices, relational structures and dimensional data modeling
- strong SQL skills with an ability to write and develop complex code, scripts, and stored procedures
- Strong commands of Data Modelling - specifically Data Vault 2.0.
- Strong Data Analysis skills with a deep understanding of Data Quality.
- Previous experience in the building of a new Data Warehouse / Information Management platform.
- Outstanding communication skills in both English and German with the ability to educate and engage with non technical stakeholders.
The job can start in January of 2018 and will run for at least 4 months. Extension is very likely as the project is in its early stages.
