Smallworld Application Manager
A large telecommunications company are seeking an Application Manager to configure, test and maintain a physical inventory system for geodata (physical networks). The overall project is to be migrated from the current Physical Inventory System to Smallworld PNI.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the Physical Inventory System (Implementation, Monitoring, SPOC).
- Creation of concepts, definition of technical specifications and their implementation
- Editing configurations and change requests.
- Implementation and support of quality tests (ORT/UAT).
- Coordination and control of external partners in an international environment (therefore very good knowledge of English is important!)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completed studies with a focus on IT, network engineering or similar, alternatively relevant training with corresponding long-term project experience.
- Knowledge of the software "Smallworld PNI" and programming (in Magik).
- Experience in the software FME Workbench and at best the import and export into the Smallworld PNI.
- Experience in dealing with geodata and topological networks.
- Experience in process optimization and analysis of software adaptations as well as in the creation of specifications.
- Very good database (SQL, Oracle DB) as well as optional programming skills in connection with these DBs.
- Understanding of system architecture (interfaces to other systems and their dependencies).
- Fluent in English and German
