Developer for Command & Control Services

Job description / Your Key Accountabilities

The Developer for Command & Control Services will provide design, development and integration expertise for features and interfaces related to command and control services in company's product line. Her/his duties will include:

-Evolution and integration of existing services towards rule-based and platform independent architecture

-Evolution of the current design and implementation of distributed tactical data objects

-Design, implementation and verification of layer command and control services

-Development of mapping components to facilitate information exchange within our platform

-Documentation of all realized components and processes

-Work according to V-Model XT methodology

Qualification and Experience required

Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunications or equivalent

Proven experience in developing of complex services or embedded, distributed applications

We expect a motivated and highly focussed team-player, who «gets things done»

Selection Criteria



  • Essential


  • -Hands-on in OO-development, mainly C++

    -Experience in design and development of rule based services

    -Good Knowledge / Experience in development of rule-based and / or dynamic systems, including decision making support

    -Expertise in realization of multi-processing, multi-threading principles, inter-process communications

    -Experience in event-driven programming

    -English



  • Advantageous


  • -Knowledge / experience in many of the following:

    -SysML / UML / MDL design

    -Knowledge about 2D/3D Navigation

    -Knowledge / Experience with Ontology-based application modelling Ontology / Semantic Web Standards, e.g. OWL, RDF(S)

    -Development of Inference Engines / Semantic Reasoners

    -Design patterns

    -Knowledge / Experience with safety standards like DO-178B/C, EN50128

    -Knowledge in secure coding

    -Familiarity with scripting languages/interpreters, e.g. Python, Perl, Shell-scripting

    -Knowledge in data design, RDBMS and / or NoSQL

    -Experience with versioning systems like Subversion, ClearCase, or CVS

    -German or French language (English is the official working language in the project)
