As Test engineer you will work as key part of the engineering team along with the product and the design teams to define and establish the testing and quality standards of our client product.
Success in this Role:
- All engineers and product managers will become obsessed with testing, it will be part of everyday language.
- The teams will establish industry leading product development testing practices and tooling.
- The platform can run the world's largest financial markets with extremely low risk of failure.
- The engineering teams and product managers will be proficient in using techniques such as TDD (SBE/ BDD), chaos testing, performance and capacity testing etc.
Technology used in company:
- Java and Haskell for backend development of new technology concepts
- AngularJS for frontend development
- Agile/Scrum and modern software engineering practices
- Cloud services, containers for rapid deployment
We are looking for you if you have:
- Experience with a multitude of software testing techniques
- Hands on experience and deep understanding of automated testing tools and frameworks
- Minimum software development skills - e.g. Scripting, Scala, Java, SQL etc
- Automated testing and test driven development coaching and implementation
- Build pipeline tooling and implementation
- Agile delivery and testing
- Code quality assessment techniques (e.g. static analysis, review methods and tooling)
- Excellent communicator; direct & transparent
- Confident & "all in"
