We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to design and provide a range of print-ready, high-resolution graphics and photos to the clients' production team.

TASKS
The consultant will design and provide a range of print-ready, high-resolution graphics and photos to the clients' production team.
This will include but not be limited to:
- Design (using available data) and recreate existing graphic elements, including charts, tables, graphs, maps and schematics on issues related to land use, land management and land planning;
- Create a suite of infographics and interactive maps/tools to tell the story of the CLIENTS' to a wide audience;
- Identify and catalogue high-resolution photos for potential use in the CLIENTS' report and website using freely available sources, such as flikr etc.
- Establish and manage all CLIENTS' graphics folders in the cloud for easy use/access by the design and layout team;
- Update and populate the CLIENTS' website using squarespace content management system;
- Lead on the creation and production of other print, web, video and other digital media products that promote the CLIENTS' and other UNCCD activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
The consultant should have:
- Recognized formal training in graphic design, video production and photo management;
- Full command of the Adobe creative suite (CS5) applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Flash, and other applications for interactive content;
- BYOD - all the hardware and software required to complete this project;
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in graphic design, photo and video production;
- Ability to do independent research and work with existing data;
- Fluent ability to communicate in and understand English (French and Spanish would be an asset).
CONTRACTUAL TERMS
- The consultancy will be based at clients' offices in Bonn, Germany initially for 3 months, subject to one 3 month extension, starting from 15 November 2016;
- The consultant will prepare an overall work plan for the initial contract period at the beginning of the assignment to be agreed with the supervisors.
- All products developed and delivered through this consultancy shall remain the exclusive property of the client, and shall not be divulged and/or used without prior written authorization.
