Job Description
The Network, Architect/Technical Architect will collaborate with Enterprise Architects to design network infrastructure solutions for scalability, reliability, performance, security, and alignment with overall business and IT strategy. He/she should be able to design network architectures across all datacentre technologies for the purpose of improving speed to assess applications and data, access to services as well as enhance security processes and make it application centric.
Advanced Network Enterprise Architect should help address challenges at any point in the life cycle of SAP network infrastructure - from architecture planning and high-level design to implementation and long-term operations. The network architect will work with SAP enterprise, network, and project teams to develop a clear strategy for improving their IT environment. Then, he/she will guide through each step of deploying the technology and services that SAP need to meet business requirements using best practises.
The Key functions of this role in my view will include:
- Assessing SAP's existing IT environment and business requirements to identify gaps in infrastructure and services.
- Define improvements to network architecture necessary for future growth and develop a coherent migration strategy and road map.
- Better understand how innovations in network frameworks, technologies, and services can help you meet your objectives.
- Simplify interoperability among multivendor systems using a vendor-neutral approach.
- Resolve existing issues and improve maintenance and security protocols.
- Documenting and delivering best practises through design, implementation strategy and solution architecture practises.
Qualifications & skills (desirable)
Deep knowledge as Network Architect
CCIE R&S level
CCSP
Enterprise Network Architecture Design
Datacentre Design
Deep experience with Routing, Security/Firewalls, WLAN, Traffic Engineering
Good knowledge on Network transformation planning
Experienced on HLD/LLD document creation
Strong Communication skills
