On behalf of one of our clients in Munich, we have been asked to find a Senior Software Engineer Web Developer (m/f).As a team member, you will be responsible for the development of a large, multi-tier web application based on a JEE framework whilst interacting with members of various cross-functional teams.
Job Description:
You would be required to perform hands on requirement engineering, software design and implementation of VMware, vFabric/Tomcat based middleware components.
Other tasks expected of this role are:
• Generation of design documents,
• Investigation of field problems,
• Development/execution of unit tests, and guidance of junior level developers.
• Gain knowledge of the business domain
• Analyze, gather functional and non-functional requirements
• Participate in architectural and design sessions
• Perform and document high level and detail design based on requirements, architectural artifacts, and non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, security, and usability)
• Implement code based on design artifacts
• Participate in architecture, design and code reviews
• Generate and perform unit tests
• Provide support for live systems
• Perform assigned duties with no supervision
• Perform assigned duties within scheduled timelines
Required Qualifications:
• 6 -10 years of Information Technology experience in Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns.
• Expert level skills Java, Java Script solid background in HTML and CSS.
• Deep expertise level with the Liferay 6.x 7.x portal platform.
• Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework. (Spring Core, Spring Security, Spring MVC/Web-Flow, Spring WebServices, Spring Integration)
• Hands-on experience with Jakarta-Commons, Quartz Scheduling, Velocity, Cristal Reports.
• Advanced working knowledge of messaging using WebSphere family of products: WebSphere MQ.
• Advanced working knowledge of Unit Testing, Integration Testing methodologies. (jUnit, Mockito, Selenium).
• Working knowledge of SOA technologies: XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI
• Advanced experience with Relational databases, data modeling, data mapping, data translation, SQL, and Oracle DB
• In-depth knowledge of Full Life Cycle Application development including development methodologies, Source Code Management (SVN), Maven, Continues Build
• Experience with Eclipse based IDE preferable Spring Source Tool or IntelliJ.
• Solid project management skills
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies (SCRUM).
• Comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills
• Ability to involve with multiple projects and interact with multiple teams
• Ability to converse effectively with all levels of team structure
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS) and/or equivalent technical degree
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of FDA (or other regulatory agency) regulations, procedures, processes, policies
• Experience with EHR systems including clinical and health related applications
• Knowledge of HL7 standards
• Working knowledge of JEE Components
• Knowledge of UML design techniques
• Experience with scripting languages (Groovy, Python).
• Knowledge of Layered Architecture.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS)
• Excellent working knowledge of both German and English
Project start: ASAP - 31.12.2016 (plus Option)
City: Munich, Germany
Home office: 1-2 days per week - possible
