A Support Engineer is urgently required to join Computers People's Client in Mosbach, Germany. As the Support Engineer you will play an instrumental role in the provision of 2nd/3rd line support within a busy technical services team.
To be eligible for this role you must be fluent in English and German both verbally and in writing.
The Support Engineer will have a proven track record in providing technical support across all levels within an enterprise Wintel environment. The Support Engineer must have a good understanding of supporting a desktop/service desk environment as well as an understanding of Windows Server and the Back Office environment.
IT Support Engineer will have knowledge of Android & IOS devices and a range of desktop infrastructure technologies including windows 7/10, Lync, Dell, Mac and basic networking principals.
Ideally the Support Engineer will have experience working with SQL databases and some level of Windows Scripting capabilities for application support.
We seek an experienced individual capable of working on their own initiative and communicating effectively with colleagues
To summarise the Support Engineer will be responsible for managing a number of technologies:
- Desktop Infrastructure
- Windows 7/10
- Mobile and Tablet devices
- Lync
- Windows server
- Active Directory - User/Computer account creation and administration
- DHCP, DNS, WINS and Group Policy Management
- Network infrastructure and Networking principals
Desirable:
- SQL
- Windows Scripting (Powershell)
The successful applicant will play a leading role in the deployment, support and on-going configuration of the client's infrastructure environment.
