My client, who is located in Hamburg, is looking for an experienced Scala developer who will be responsible for programming and operating backend solutions:What you will do:
• Work in a self-organised Product Team in an agile environment to develop new innovative components and solutions. The Team designs, develops, tests and maintains backend applications coded in mainly in Scala (small portion in Java) using micro services architecture.
• You also help to push these components to the operational environment and keep them running. You will take active part in automating and improving the build and delivery pipelines needed to achieve Continuous Delivery.
• Propose and implement ideas and solutions aimed at improving the software quality as well as software architecture of the components and products assigned to the team.

What you offer the client:
• A degree in business information technology or computer science or comparable training or comparable training or experience in this field
• You are fluent in multiple programming languages, especially Scala and Java
• You are familiar with the Typesafe/Lightbend stack (mainly akka and akka-streams)
• You are familiar with Unix/Linux OS, CentOS is an advantage
• Proven track record of software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, continuous integration and delivery)
• You have an understanding/experience of relevant open source technologies and tools (i.e. Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Cloud tools)
• You are passionate about what you do with the desire to design and build truly high-quality and performant solutions.
• You enjoy working within self-organised teams and are eager to take on responsibility
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) is an advantage
