My client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant.
The main responsibilities will include:
* Support the infrastructure within the data center
* Monitoring and operation of applications in complex IT landscapes
* Preparation, design and implementation of migrations and installations
* Hardware sizing
* Preparing for Operation
* Coordination of all technical contact (internal departments and external providers)
* Ongoing optimization of processes and systems
The ideal consultant will have:
* Experience in technical project management
* Extensive knowledge in the areas of eBusiness, eCommerce and Internet portals
* Extensive knowledge of Web Application Server (WebSphere, Apache Tomcat)
* Several years of experience in data center operation (ITIL)
* Extensive knowledge of networking
* Knowledge of standard databases (Oracle, DB2)
* Safe handling of UNIX flavors
* Experience with security and Firewall architectures and concepts
* Virtualization/cluster technologies
* Cognos BI and knowledge is an advantage
* Ideally automotive experience
* Good German and English knowledge
* Team player
* Enforcement and communication skills
