HIVE Grid Team – Job Profile

- Degree in Computer Engineering or an IT-Professional with > 5 years of experience
- Experience with parallel Computing proven experience with GRID middleware like IBM Platform Symphony, Microsoft HPC Pack, Data Synapse would be an advantage
- Practical experience in network troubleshooting with a shown willingness to learn new things and a curiosity to get to the root cause of situations. A Cisco certification would be an advantage.
- C++, Java, Python including foundation libraries like STL/Boost
Operating Systems: Windows 2008, Redhat Enterprise Linux 5/6/7
- Scripting with Powershell and bash
- SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server – would be an advantage
- Experience with Hadoop would be an advantage
- Powershell and bash scripting experience
- Software/Image deployment tools HPSA, xCat, Microsoft HPC-Pack
- NVIDIA Cuda
- Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Ganglia, Nagios, Windows, Linux and Solaris
- Strong analytical skills to be able to analyse issues in a complex parallel computing environment
- Ability and willingness to support also outside of business hours (7/24 onCall Support)
- Cloud computing/IaaS and or Hadoop knowledge would be an advantage
- Self-motivated person with project management and distinct communication skills, solution oriented attitude and the ability to work focused in stressed situations

- Very good English; German is optional
- Communication skills
- Experience in working in an international team
