Task:Currently we are looking for a new member of our team of experts in order to accept an assignment as System administrator in Frankfurt/Main including the following area of responsibility:
- Deploy, configure, support development, test, pre-production and productions servers and applications
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve system incidents
- Complete assigned tasks by agreed deadlines and at high quality
- Ensure availability of accurate and up-to-date technical documentation related to systems operated by Data Centre section
- Propose improvements to services, technologies, processes and documentation regarding systems’ availability and stability
- Support design and prepare contingency plan exercises to ensure system recovery
Requirements (Must have):
- Very good command of English with proven drafting ability.
- Working experience with ITIL processes, particularly change and incident management.
- Knowledge of Windows Server installation, administration and troubleshooting, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP, VMware vCenter
- Experience operating mission-critical IT infrastructure environments (e.g. in financial service, IT costing or defence industries), maintenance of support documentation
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM 2007 (or higher) software distribution and task sequences
Nice to have:
- Experience in supporting Linux/Unix based systems, including monitoring and performing preventive or remedial maintenance
- Experience in maintaining configuration management, inventory and troubleshooting documentation
- Experience with maintenance activities (such as hardware firmware, OS and software upgrades)
- Working knowledge of
* Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher database systems
* Tivoli backup systems
* Cisco unified computing systems and UCS manager
* Scripting and packaging technologies
* Network and storage concepts, technologies and equipment
Environment/Miscellaneous:
The main objective of the position is to provide 1st and 2nd level support to the Windows server based systems and services. Depending on skills of the candidate, this might extend to the Linux and Unix server environment.
