Proteus Europe is searching for an IT Specialist/Protocol Developer for a 6 month contract role based in Munich.
- Start July 2016 duration at least six months.

Your New role:-
Key responsibilities:
- Analysis of the existing signal processing FW considering a remapping from single, dedicated compute resources to a harmonized, homogeneous DSP compute resources, leveraging a cached memory hierarchy
- Cross-RAT Algorithmic analysis to identify synergies between signal processing of different RATs and the design of harmonized, reusable processing blocks which allow the deployment of either RAT. This includes also the consideration of alternative HW/SW splits and redesign of existing HW accelerators to allow a -broader applicability.
- Analysis of the required adaptations in HW/SW/FW
- Specification and documentation of the FW and HW changes
- Adaptation of the Simulation model and C-reference sources for a full integration of the modification - including in-source documentation
- Prove correctness and performance by passing given functional and performance tests
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience. protocol development experience
- Good Understanding of MultiRAT and MultiSIM requirements and constraints.
- Very good understanding of modem architecture and LTE PHY layer signal processing, in particular transmitter architecture and signal processing.
- 5+ years of experience with Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Detection and Estimation Theory, Information Theory and Error Correction Codes.
- Protocol development experience with 5+ years of experience in Matlab and C/C++ Programming
