Systems Engineer for Navigation Payload
A payload systems engineer is required from an electrical/communications engineering background to work closely with spacecraft systems, structural, thermal, and MAIT engineering to ensure acceptable navigation payload performance on-ground and in-orbit. A portfolio of project responsibilities is assigned; each task having the objective of successful development, integration, test, and acceptance of navigation payload performance. Simultaneous projects in various stages allows for a unique and exciting combination of tasks from early development, to on-ground and in-orbit performance evaluation.
The following tasks will be given to you:
Perform sub-systems and systems architecture trade-offs and performance analysis
Interact directly with suppliers, reviewing unit level performance for suitability and assess impacts to payload level performance, regular travel to supplier facilities
Provide technical evaluations for unit and payload anomalies, on-ground and in-orbit
Evaluate supplier level RFDs and RFWs and prepare payload level RFDs and RFWs for customer approval
Prepare technical evaluation and test reports
Optimize payload test campaigns and the associated data analysis/evaluation
Your Qualifications
Degree in telecommunications, electronics, microwave, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
Knowledge of signal generation electronics, High/Low power RF engineering, or precision timing an asset
Matlab and/or TCL programming an asset
Various levels of working experience considered (from first-years to experienced professional), space industry preferred
Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills
Working level proficiency in written and spoken English, German or other EU language skills advantageous
