Task:
Goetzfried Professionals GmbH is a consulting and supporting partner in the IT and engineering field for numerous companies of all sizes as well as from different industrial and economic sectors. Their expertise includes the conception, planning and realization of IT as well as engineering projects, further complex managed services and solutions. Therefore, Goetzfried Professionals GmbH places their employed IT experts and engineers to the disposal of their clients in order to realize their projects. In alliance with Goetzfried AG and the Allgeier Group Goetzfried Professionals is a competent, high-performance and constantly growing IT-, Engineering and Staffing Service Company.

Currently we are looking for a new member of our team of experts in order to accept an assignment as Database Administrator in Frankfurt/Main including the following area of responsibility:

The main objective of the position is to provide 1st and 2nd level support to the Bank's Oracle database
environment. Depending on skills of the offered candidate, this might over time extend to the
Microsoft SQL Server environment. Tasks:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for Oracle 11g and 12c databases running on Solaris, Windows and Exadata platforms. Identify any need for preventive or remedial maintenance throughout the use of diagnostic tools.
- Perform proactive database performance monitoring and propose steps to optimize database performance (tuning).
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve database incidents and performance issues using available tools and referring to 3rd level support or external suppliers if required.
- Proactively identifies and communicates improvements to the Bank's Oracle database systems, architecture, processes and documentation.
- Contribute to the definition of concepts and designs of complex Oracle based database systems and infrastructure including high availability solutions. Ensure concepts and designs take into account operational requirements suggest improvements to improve operational efficiency and optimize maintenance effort.
- Advice projects on best practise and Bank's infrastructural standards for design, deployment and business services integration of Oracle based database systems.
- Contribute to the development of IT solutions in production by advising on the impact of planned changes, assisting Data Centre colleagues and project teams in roll-out and post implementation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation related to database systems, transfer knowledge to colleagues and ensure adequate documentation is available.
- Deploy, configure, support development, test, pre-production and productions systems and environments, integrating business applications under development with the standard infrastructural components and documenting installation and operational procedures for further deployments in Data Centre Operations;
- Participate in the design and preparation of recovery and contingency exercises to ensure that Data Centre Operations can recover systems in accordance with predefined plans and documentation.
- Support service development processes by executing technical transition
- Acting as single point of contact for project teams
- ensuring required resource requirements are understood and timely communicated to respective team leader

- Experience with supporting, administering, maintaining or engineering Windows 2008 or higher server systems
- Experience with supporting, administering, maintaining or engineering Solaris 10 or higher server systems
- Experience with supporting, administering, maintaining or engineering Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher database systems
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM 2007 or higher software distribution and task sequences
- Experience with supporting, administering, maintaining or engineering Oracle Exadata environments
- Experience with supporting, administering, maintaining or engineering Windows Active Directory environments
- Experience with scripting and packaging technologies
- A working knowledge of MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Requirements (Must have):
- a good command of English with proven drafting ability
- Experience with set-up support, administration and maintenance of mission-critical production Oracle (11g, 12c) databases, including problem solving, performance tuning and capacity planning, installation, configuration and maintenance of Oracle database features and options (e.g. Oracle Data Guard, ASM, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle Transparent Encryption, Oracle Data Pump, RMAN) as well as management of Oracle database systems (provisioning, patching, monitoring, performance management and tuning) with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c
- Experience with migration and upgrade techniques between different Oracle database versions between different OS platforms
- Very good knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and scripting
- A fair understanding of either Solaris 10 (or higher) or Linux (any distribution) server platforms is Mandatory
