Task:
Goetzfried Professionals GmbH is a consulting and supporting partner in the IT and engineering field for numerous companies of all sizes as well as from different industrial and economic sectors. Their expertise includes the conception, planning and realization of IT as well as engineering projects, further complex managed services and solutions. Therefore, Goetzfried Professionals GmbH places their employed IT experts and engineers to the disposal of their clients in order to realize their projects. In alliance with Goetzfried AG and the Allgeier Group Goetzfried Professionals is a competent, high-performance and constantly growing IT-, Engineering and Staffing Service Company.

Currently we are looking for a new member of our team of experts in order to accept an assignment as IT Asset Manager in Frankfurt/Main including the following area of responsibility:

Operational and administrative tasks (approx. 80 % of the time)
- Organising the process of and keeping IT asset inventory regularly up-to-date
- Organising and handling of “purchases/orders”, “goods-receipts” and “(secure) disposals” in order to support equipment life-cycle management
- Assessing the age and condition of all IT assets with a view to optimizing their refresh or replacement to minimize risk and cost, while maximizing business value.
- Provision of input and data in support of procurement activity, including device, installation, usage (or other license or subscription metric information) and base (or historical) data needed to ensure accurate volume purchasing.
- Implement and manage production of IT asset life cycle management status reporting, metrics and benchmarks.
- Ensuring that all IT asset life cycle-related information, costs and risks are correctly identified through metrics and published status reports, while enforcing mitigation and remediation activity.
- Measuring and reporting on variances to budget for both asset purchases and support and maintenance costs.
- Evaluating, selecting and implementing (IT) Asset Management tools and ensuring appropriate integration of data from non-IT-Asset-Management-owned sources.
- Management of responses to audit requests regarding the value, costs and risks associated with IT assets in consultation with the procurement and finance administration team and/or related management.
- Provision of asset management data in support of any activity that falls outside the scope of IT asset management, such as investigations into suspected theft etc.
- Delegating or assigning responsibilities for sub-disciplines such as software asset management (SAM) and IT asset disposal (where appropriate) to achieve objectives
- Contribute to Service Management processes operations by performing defined tasks including but not limited to activities related to the Asset Management process and service continual improvement, and document and implement standards according to defined process workflows

Process / development related tasks (approx. 20 % of the time, probably more at the beginning)
- Apply pre-defined ITIL-based processes, procedures and methods to support and maintain the ECB IT Service Management framework and functions, such as Asset Management Develop and enhance methodologies and practices for IT asset life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience as part of a cycle of continuous improvement.
- Ensure that IT procurement and disposal processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with ECB’s social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation.
- Perform a stock-taking of the current Asset Management process and the current status of the managed IT assets (end-user as well as central backend IT assets).
- Review the currently performed asset management and develop advancements to improve the inventory and end-to-end lifecycle handling of IT assets.
- Advise the relevant project managers as well as managers responsible for projects, programs, infrastructure and application portfolios on asset strategies and recommend actions to optimize the IT asset portfolio.
- Collect requirements, analyse and evaluate proposals, conduct negotiations and implement specifications according to defined process workflows

Requirements (Must have):
Mandatory generic technical competencies:
- Proven working experience in operating the IT Asset Management process (or an equivalent Asset Management experience in a different context e.g. warehouse management) for at least 5 years:
- Organising the process of and keeping (IT) asset inventory regularly up-to-date
- Organising and handling of “purchases/orders”, “goods-receipts” and “disposals” in order to support the equipment life-cycle management (including the secure disposal of electronic storage media)
- Proven data processing, extraction and manipulation skills (Excel Pivot-table or equivalent etc.) for at least 2 years.
- A very good command of English with proven drafting ability.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information system security, or related disciplines

Generic technical competencies being an asset:
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes and best practice, i.e. ITIL Service Management processes service life-cycle V2 and/or V3 (i. e. ITIL Foundation and/or Practitioner certification).
- Proficiency in process formulation and improvement, process reengineering experience.
- Working experience in implementing Asset Management processes (3+ years), and working experience in operating other service management processes.
- A good understanding of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) including the modules Asset Accounting (AA) and Plant Maintenance (PM) (or equivalent ERP tools)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with contracts and their likely cost implications through the asset life cycle.
- Solid foundation in IT applications, operations, service and support.
- Experience in team/group facilitation, project management and training would be an advantage.
- A good to very good end-user knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products including in particular MS Excel and MS Access as well as MS Outlook and MS Project.
