Senior Data Integration Specialist
His/Her responsibilities:
. Support Architecture and Design of a large Big Data System
. Be responsible for the Design of the Data Integration piece of that solution (Files, Data Streams, Databases etc.)
. Negotiate Interface Agreements with the owners of internal data sources
. Document and visualize the Data Integration Designs as well as the interface specifications
. Steer Developers so that they are enabled to implement the needed interfaces with sufficient performance
. Ensure that the Data Integration adheres to the policies of the customer
. Support the Quality Manager by testing the solution, by generating suitable test data etc.
. Estimate efforts to implement the DI solution
His/Her profile
Must have:
. Strong background in Enterprise IT Architecture and Solution Design
. Several years of proven experience with data integration projects in Big Data Projects (Hadoop, Flume, Kafka, Sqoop etc.) and mass data applications at Terabyte/Petabyte scale
. At least 5 years of experience with IT Projects in large Enterprises
. Excellent communication skills in English (German nice to have)
. Team player
. Proven ability to visually illustrate complex processes and IT systems in a comprehensive manner (eg Visio)
. Experience with performance critical data processing at large scale using files, data streams, or databases
Nice to have:
. Experience with testing IT Systems and Data Integration systems
. Experience with working in internationally distributed cross-functional teams
