On-site Infrastructure Technician - Germany
Consultant will be requested to provide on-site datacenter services for a client in Germany (Ingolstadt). The activities which are needed on-site.
Activities
- Replacement, installation and configuration of hardware within a datacenter environment. Examples: (de)mounting Servers in racks, connect to LAN-switch, SAN-switch, power, cable management, connect and configure UPS-system, add or replace harddisks in storage systems, solve hardware related incidents.
- Maintain documentation and update operating manuals when needed.
- Delete data on hard disks when needed, according to guidelines/work instructions.
- Software/firmware installations that cannot be performed remotely, based on predefined work instructions.
- Restart systems when requested.
- (Software) tools that are needed to support the activities, will be provided by the client.
- Out-of-scope: activities related to the datacenter facilities (eg air-conditioning, security systems, fire protection).
- Disaster recovery of physical and virtual Servers (using EMC Avamar technology), solve incidents with Windows Servers.
Service window
- On-site presence at the datacenters on Monday Friday 8::00 within 15 minutes after a reported (emergency) incident.
- On-site presence at the datacenters for planned maintenance and projects.
