Cisco Network Engineer - LAN/WAN Contract - Dusseldorf
A leading Consultancy is looking for an experienced Network Engineer for a 6 month contract in Dusseldorf
Current, hands-on network support experience; preferably in a multi-client, service provider environment
Good all-round technical knowledge of LAN/WAN network equipment (Cisco, Juniper and Nokia), technologies, protocols and communication standards
Good all-round knowledge and experience of Firewall systems (Checkpoint, Cisco ASA and Palo Alto)
Knowledge and experience of hardware load balancer solutions
Experience of network design and IP Addressing architectures
Experience of VPN and Remote Access solutions
Nexus skills
Ability to own and lead a client's network infrastructure service
The role is dedicated to a Government client, working at the client site 5 days a week based in the City of Reading.
The Network Engineer will be expected to:
Work unsociable hours (evening/night, weekends, and bank holidays to implement planned changes)
Work effectively with teams in other geographic areas if required (India)
Cisco accreditations are essential - eg CCIE, CCNP, CCDP or equivalent
