Our client is currently looking for a Technical Infrastructure Engineer (m/f) for a project in Ingolstadt.Project Description:
- Replacement, installation and configuration of hardware within a datacenter environment Example: (de)mounting servers in racks, connect to LAN-switch, SAN-switch, power, cable management, connect and configure UPS-system, add or replace harddisks in storage systems, solve hardware related incidents
- Maintain documentation and update operating manuals when needed
- Delete data on hard disks when needed, according to guidelines/work instructions
- Software/firmware installations that cannot be performed remotely, based on predefined work instructions
- Restart systems when requested
- (Software) tools that are needed to support the activities, will be provided by the client
Out-of-scope: activities related to the datacenter facilities (e.g. air-conditioning, security systems, fire protection)
Qualifications:
- Replacement, installation and configuration of hardware within a datacenter environment
- Maintain documentation and update operating manuals
- Software/firmware/OS/patch/agent installations
- Disaster recovery of physical and virtual servers (using EMC Avamar technology), solve incidents with Windows servers
Sprachkenntnis: German / English must
