Beschreibung

Aufgrund einer vorliegenden Projektanfrage sind wir auf der Suche nach einem System and Operations Engineer (m/w) für den Standort Hamburg.

Nachfolgend übersenden wir Ihnen die Projektbeschreibung:

Start: kurzfristig nach Vereinbarung
Dauer: 3 Monate (mit Option auf Verlängerung für Gesamt 2016)
Ort: Hamburg

What you will do:
You help to push the applications to the operational environment and keep them running. You will help us automating and improving the build and delivery pipelines needed to achieve Continuous Delivery.
You will help us design the operational processes required for performant, robust and secure operation of the applications once delivered.
You distribute the operational knowledge in the Team, so that the Team can take on and
share operational responsibility so that responsibility is not on your shoulders alone.
We’ll support you getting stuck into developing and improving the application and its stack if you are so inclined.

What we offer:
Work in a self-organised team to shape new innovative components and solutions. The Team designs, develops, tests and maintains backend applications coded in Java and Scala. (He take DevOps and agile seriously.)
Shared responsibility in the product team for delivering a distributed operational solution

Participation in technical conferences
Training in form of e-book library, brown bag sessions, courses, workshops, etc

Expected Skills:
You have a degree in business information technology or computer science or comparable training or experience in this field
You know what it takes to build highly available, business critical web solutions on the JVM on Linux
You have a proven track record in infrastructure automation, application monitoring, continuous integration and delivery and operations.
You are passionate about what you do with the desire to design and build truly high-quality automation solutions.
You have a strong understanding/experience of relevant open source technologies and tools (i.e. Docker, Ansible, Jenkins)
You enjoy working within self-organised teams and are eager to take on responsibility
You are self-starter – you want to improve your skills and you have the ability to work your way into new problems and technical domains
Experience and/or willingness to also do software development
Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) is an advantage
Experience with IaaS and Cloud solutions is an advantage
You are an open and honest person with a sense of humour
Excellent communication skills and proficient in English and German
