SAP SCM Project Manager- English Speaking - Dusseldorf, Germany. Start: 19th March month Contract Role. part time: 2-4 days/week. Expenses paid for onsite work.
Our client is looking to hire an SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management) Project Manager.
The goal of the mission is to produce a feasibility study, working together with an SAP SCM Solution Architect, taking into account existing (and future ) ERP plans and looking at the best scenario to implement global parts management (Full Global Parts management supported by a full SAP applications, including E-commerce, purchasing, sourcing, procurement, market place).
You must be able to define the pros and cons of the different scenarios (together with the SAP SCM Solution Architect), and also produce planning, costing, work-load estimates.
The mission will include meetings (remote or on site) and the writing of part of the deliverables feasibility study.
The role will include some travel to the Netherlands for occasional on-site meetings and some possible options for remote work.

Our customer is a global manufacturing organisation (supply equipment for process industries) with factories across the globe, with many stocking locations, several factories and parts suppliers. Parts are sold to customers and used for service. The IT landscape is very heterogeneous and a programme is under way to create a single global SAP based ERP and migrate Legacy to this central IT architecture. The company has a cloud only strategy.
They want to globally manage spare parts in an optimal manner and increase productivity, reduce inventory levels and increase the speed of delivering spare parts to customers and to field engineers for service.
To do this we suggest to centralize part management in a new legal entity. The capabilities for this organisation includes purchasing, inventory management, parts planning, parts optimization, logistics and invoicing,
And E-commerce, Supplier management, Sourcing, Transportation management, market place.
The goal of the project is to study the feasibility from a functional/technical, financial and organisational perspective and to produce a (high level) business case and a implementation scheme
Tasks:
* Define high level IT solution (functional overview, technical overview, integration overview,
* Define high level cost for IT implementation
* Identify concerns, risks and dependencies
* Assess/challenge existing ideas/solutions
We are looking for someone to assist:
* in defining the technical overview
* reviewing the functional overview
* reviewing the integration overview
* define a high level activity plan for IT implementation and high level cost estimates
* Address/challenge customers' views/responses/ideas
* Identify concerns and risks
