Position: Resident Engineer

Location: Munich
Start: 01.02.2018
Dauer: 11 Monate (+extension)
Perm/Contract: Contract

Tasks & Skills:

* Entry point for defects and changes
* Support for SW releases
* First tier support for technical issues and escalating additional support as required
* Support offsite workshops and testing activities (on system level)

The RE reports to the Program Manager and dotted to the Country Manager. Position is in Munich (Unterschleißheim). Travel to other sites in Germany is required at moderate frequency (not more than once a week). Travel to HQ (Israel) is expected once in a quarter.

Detailed activities and tasks:
* Technical:
o Technical customer support as directed by the HQ or as requested by the customer
o Perform system SW updates at customer''s sites (engineering facilities and plants) using relevant tools and infrastructure
o Support troubleshooting of bench and assembly plant issues
* Support system validation and testing:
o Test system at customer''s bench and in customer vehicles
o Validate system''s performance with accordance to the agreed specifications
o Write detailed defect reports of any anomalies found; defects have to be sufficiently precise and include recorded data to allow effective problem resolution
o Act as a "first pass filter" to identify duplicate defects and defects outside of the scope of the system (eg separate defects from change requests)
o Demo new product releases and SW features

* Project:
o Support the Program Manager with any project need
o Valuable team member of the project''s core team
o Understand and document new customer requirements using a requirements management tool (CodeBeamer)
o Support management and negotiation of customer requirements, change requests, and unwritten expectations
o Support project documentation

Support creation and tracking of:
o 8D reports
o Open Issue list
o Timing Plan
o Other documents as needed
o Support RFQs and RFIs

Account:
o Participate in customer meetings as required and directed by the Program Manager
o Consult the customer as to the capabilities of the different Innoviz products (HW and SW)
o Reflect customer''s atmosphere (with respect to Innoviz and in general) and future outlook
o Facilitate and support with onsite visits of people from HQ to the customer
o Reflect the customer''s long term road map and needs to the HQ 

 Support and prepare meetings and workshops between Innoviz and customer Skills:
o MS Office tools (incl. MS Project)
o Experience with requirement and defect tools (ALM, PLM SW)
o Experience with customer support tools (such as Jira, Confluence, ...)
o Other relevant OEM tools
o Personality traits: Calm, Polite, Supportive, Loyal, Ambitious
Other requirements:
o BSc. in Engineering or Exact Sciences; MSc. preferred
o Relevant work experience of at least 8 years
o Automotive experience highly preferred; at least 4 years
o Previous experience must include customer facing roles, ideally at customer''s sites (such as Field Application Engineer)
