The consultant will work for Body-in-White (BiW) and will mainly support the quality department for the painted body in the new automotive plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.Regarding implementation, launch and production start the location of project will be located in Germany until end of November 2017 and from beginning of December 2017 in Mexico with business trips back to Germany if necessary. This includes also visits at the suppliers. The location can be changed during the contract if necessary.
Package 1: Coaching, support and implementation of the processes (plant in Mexico)
* Coaching, support and implementation of the processes, Group Standards and methods for the body shop of the new factory Mexico.
* Responsibility starts from the single part up to the painted body in assembly shop.
* Monthly report of Qualification-Status including recommendation.
Package 2: Training for CMM-Basics
* Training for CMM-Basics including alignment, measurement reports, FMK, PIST, ABB (= Blue Buck), Inline-Stations and specific topics guided by Q-Planners.
* Check the permanent status about project progress. Constant comparison of the quality between the Lead-Plant Munich and Plant Mexico for FMK data of Body shop and complete vehicle.
* Analysis of the measurement reports and training to the product methods specialists.
* Monthly report of Qualification-Status including recommendation.
Package 3: Trainer for product methods specialists
* Achievement of the zero defect concept. Compliance with drawing tolerances. If necessary, coaching and control of the realization team. Reporting and escalation to the relevant Q-Planners. Appointment scheduling and time tracking.
* Support for alignment of measuring room activities with daily timing schedule.
* Support for alignment of clamping fixtures/system optimization.
* Support for request and maintain supplemental documentation.
* Introduction of sample/test builds/setups.
* Support for APAT (add-on parts build plan) preparation.
* Request and coordinate functional acceptance of clamping fixtures.
* Support and explanation of all adjustment of the fixtures together with the product methods specialists with full responsibility regarding the results. Documentation of all adjustments in the shims-report.
* Analysis of the measurement reports and training to the product methods specialists.
* Support all product methods specialists in the relevant ISIR-meetings if necessary.
* Check together with product methods specialists and QMTs the supplier.
* Coaching of product methods specialists to reach the AKV.
* Monthly report of Qualification-Status including recommendation.
* Willingness to work for 2 years fulltime in Mexico (after a 2 month training in Germany)
* Mechanical or electrical engineer
* Long term (min. 5 years) proven BiW (Body-in-White) engineering and production experience
* Good knowledge of the relevant Automotive-Standards
* Proven project management qualification
* Proven leadership
* Experience in coaching, vehicle analysis and lead by internal management teams
* Necessary tools: PQM, eMMA, PARS, RMT, CATIA V5
* Project language is German and English
