ITSM Program Director German speaker (Ideally); Dusseldorf.

Responsible for the Plan element of mobilization, management and delivery of multiple application development programs. Partners with the business in defining and achieving goals for programs under management.

Experience & Skills

  • College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically requires 14 years of IT Project Management experience, or 9+ years of relevant business or team leadership
  • Proven budgetary experience for a significant area
  • Requires experience in Process Re-engineering, Business Change Management, Vendor/Sub-Contract Management
  • Requires leadership experience in managing large cross-functional teams and the flexibility to influence people at a variety of levels internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget

Accountabilities Product Leadership

  • Executes against fixed price, deliverable based statements of work with high quality.
  • Collaborates with other Technology leaders to assess current capabilities against the vision and develops plans to close gaps
  • Leads and influences the development of ITSM standards and decisions regarding changes to systems/applications, and provides technical and business leadership and vision

Strategic Management:

  • Develops, coordinates, implements and monitors progress towards achievement of the Technology and Business Delivery vision and roadmaps
  • Partners peers on the Technology team to engage business aligned teams, customers and vendors in developing technology/product strategies and plans (a roadmap)
  • Partners with peers across team to leverage successful products and processes across Business Delivery disciplines
  • Develops and takes a proactive lead on project management standards, guidelines, policies and procedures

Strong Business Partnership

  • Builds and maintains high profile as a technology leader both inside and outside of the firm
  • Establishes a productive relationship with program sponsors, businesses, vendors, sub-contractors to achieve goals
  • Creates business alliances, leads joint ventures with vendors and focuses on leveraging knowledge capital

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensures integration of programs within the program portfolio and adjusts program scope, resources, timing and budgets as needed
  • Assesses variances from the program and project plans, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the program remains within specified scope and is within time, cost and quality objectives
  • Presents plans and gaining sign off from the business, IT and the Steering Committee
  • Conducts program kick-off meetings; defining and communicating specific roles and responsibilities of Program Managers

Continuous Improvement

  • Contributes to continuous improvement and promotes leverage of successful products and processes from across Technology
  • Regularly holds information sharing sessions
  • Proactively supports knowledge sharing within the Business Delivery teams and across technology

Finance Management

  • Makes strategic financial decisions regarding investment in capital and resources understanding of their risk/return profiles
  • Develops and manages budgets and costs for major programs and ensures commercial viability and benefit realization
  • Approves compensation and reward levels

People Management

  • Plays a major role in performance management either delegating or actually writing appraisals, giving personal feedback and agreeing development plans with senior team members
  • Develops, trains, and coaches senior team members
  • Promotes teamwork, both within own group and across Technolo, in problem resolution

Contract is to start ASAP, ideally before September. We can sign a contract until end of October and then plan a 6 to 12 month extension, the work is there.
