Aufgaben an den Berater:

1. Market overview for health IoT – focus on the medtech & pharma sector (where to play)
a) Describe the competitive landscape and describe what parts of the value chain these actors currently cover.
b) Describe existing (successful) business models, relevant projects & pilots with IoT in the relevant sector
c) Identify the pain points & requirements of suppliers and buyers
d) What is the willingness to pay (of buyers)? How much have individual buyers paid for IoT solutions/products?
e) What are the regulatory hurdles (if any)?

f) For medical device management:
g) What are the most relevant medical device management player in the German and European market?
h) Which devices manufacturer do you know that already make sure of IoT or at least have plans?
i) What are the pain points of healthcare supplier (e.g. hospitals) with the use/management of their medical devices and what are their current ‘solutions’?
j) What are the pain points of medical device management organizations with the administration/maintenance of medical devices?
k) How could a IoT offering create differentiated value for both, healthcare supplier and medical device management organizations?

l) For the pharma sector
m) What are the main areas for IoT applications in the pharma industry?
n) What are the pain points of pharmaceutical companies that could be solved with IoT solutions ?
o) How big is the IoT market in each area?
p) What are the certification and regulation issues to be considered?
q) What are examples of successful existing solutions?
r) How could a IoT offering create differentiated value for the pharma industry?
