Senior Consultant (m/f) Business Intelligence

For our international successful client in the energy sector we are looking for Senior Consultant (m/f) Business Intelligence at Munich.

• Create Power BI performance management dashboards to monitor progress towards business goals, to assess the viability of the organization?s business strategy and its ability to achieve targets
• Set up and optimize connection to existing key systems, e.g. CRM Microsoft Dynamics/ SAP/ Google Analytics
• Maintain and continuously improve the dashboards and KPIs including gathering of requirements, and delivery of proposed improvements
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Identify bad performances and conduct root cause analysis with business owners to ensure short-term and long-term problem solution
• Promote performance mindset across the organization
• Help to streamline business processes in order to optimize data flows across business units
• Work with business to ensure data constancy, best data practice and data governance
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
• Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams

Technical Skills

• Hands-on knowledge in dashboard design and implementation in Power BI or related products like QlikView and Tableau
• Hands-on Report Development (Microsoft SSRS)
• Hands-on knowledge in multidimensional data modelling (Kimball Methodology) and data warehouse design, OLAP Cube
• Hands-on knowledge in ETL process design and implementation, i.e. the skill set to create connection to existing systems like CRM Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Google Analytics, Excel and other web interfaces
• Hands-on experience in Microsoft SSAS, Power Pivot (also known as ?M?) and DAX
• Deep understanding of relational data modelling and SQL
• Good knowledge in requirement engineering
• Experienced in performance analysis and monitoring
• Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
• Understanding of data integration issues, i.e. validation and cleaning, familiarity with complex data and structures
• Programming/ scripting experience and knowledge of agile software development is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities

• Possesses strong analytical mindset, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
• Highly self-driven and motivated to work in a highly agile environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Experienced to work in an international setup
