Internal Auditor (f/m)

For our client, a global Online Booking company focussing on travel and hotels we are looking for an Internal Auditor on a freelance basis (f/m)
Project Start: ASAP
Project duration: 2 months +
Location: Munich
Tasks:
- Lead audits and various projects as well as oversee the work conducted by Internal Auditors within the team.
- Evaluate controls, policies and practices, and assist with the preparation of formal written reports expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control system.
- Audit a variety of accounting, financial, and operating records and procedures requiring the application of professional accounting and auditing principles and standard operating procedures for the various business units.
- Function as the lead auditor on small/moderate size projects; manage the project, supervise staff auditors on the assigned project, act as the primary contact with the audit client, and responsible for the completion of all project procedures under his or her direction.
- Recommend methods to bring audit programs and business operations into compliance with goals and objectives as well as improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
- Function as a team member with assigned workload for which he/she is responsible for effectively completing and meeting time and deliverable expectations.
- Primarily responsible for the initial report-writing process that will ultimately communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
- Interprets policy and procedure and applies professional accounting and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate complex financial records and operational systems and procedures.
- May assist business units in special projects, investigations or other significant business issues.
- Also may participate in assistance with external auditors. May occasionally work under the direction of EI's external accounting firm and serve as a member of their team as needed.
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience within Global organisation as an Internal Auditor
- Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
