ITIL Service Delivery Manager - IT Service Manager - German and English Speaking

My client is a leading E-commerce brand with a worldwide network and world class IT and Distribution service. We require a highly experienced interim Service Delivery Manager to help manage and improve the service that technology provides to the business.

Working from a large hub, based in Berlin the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of technology service delivery. This will encompass managing stakeholders, suppliers and services. You will also be responsible for continual improvement of services from IT across the local German operation.

This role is an interim post, setting up standards, processes and KPIs in order to help the business move forward on a transformational journey.

Responsibilities

  • Management and monitoring of all IT services including warehouse and distribution technology.
  • Set standards, KPIs and definitions for Service Management
  • Manage risks and take ownership of resolutions.
  • Manage the relationship between IT and suppliers with the wider business community
  • Establish processes for incident management, change management etc
  • Prepare the infrastructure for peak periods of trading, ensuring maximum availability.
  • Own Service Reviews

The Right Candidate

  • Will be fluent in written and spoken English and German.
  • Will have excellent Service Delivery Experience including Warehouse and Distribution systems
  • Will have designed IT services within Warehouse/Distribution environments.
  • Worked with WMS/WCS/CMS and automation software (Knapp)
  • Be experienced in negotiating contracts
  • Have generated KPIS and SLAs for suppliers
  • Be ITIL Certified

This role will suit an experienced Service Manager who has the drive and ability to set up a service management environment from a greenfield environment. The client is on a rapid growth trajectory and seeing significant growth in their client and revenue base. This is resulting in massive increase in warehouse and distribution activities which need to be supported by world class service management.

The initial contract will be a three-month rolling contract, starting in mid-February; it is expected to last up to one year.
