Aufgabe:
Process IT is looking for a Linux System Operator / Administrator to keep our IoT systems running. This person would be a Linux expert with 5+ years experience in deploying, running and tuning Linux systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Support the growing fleet of remote devices (100+)
• Revise current solutions and make recommendations on enhancement opportunities in the way we operate our current fleet
• Developing tools and processes to support current requirements regarding:
o Monitoring and integrity checks
o Auditing of the operations of remote devices
o Alarming in case of failure
• Develop, manage and improve processes around security, patches and updates in a consistent, centralized way
• Improvement and coordination of the remote device installation processes
• Development around central configuration and user management
• Development of ways to speed/ scale up asset and managing the fleet of boxes
• Write/ develop standard processes regarding SCADA connectivity devices setup/ testing/ delivery
• Helping evaluation of existing solutions of acquisitions targets
• Help in formulating our IoT Strategy and our IoT architecture
Soft-Skills:

• Experience in an agile product development environment
• Business fluency in English is required, German is a plus
Fach-Skills:
• 5+ years experience in running, maintaining and tuning Linux systems
• Theoretical and practical knowledge about IT systems, interfaces and network protocols for remote monitoring and control of IoT assets
• Knowledge of networking and SCADA protocols (modbus, profibus, IEC104) is a plus
• Knowledge regarding operation and control of distributed computing assets in the field as well as in laboratory environment such as CHPs, Power-to-Heat, Wind and Solar units etc. is a plus
