Risk & Controls Analyst

6-month contract + Option to extend

Up to £210pd (Inside IR35)

Fully remote

Skillset - Experience in an operational risk/control environment, QA/QC, Audit Experience, Banking

I am looking for 20 Risk & Controls Associates.

This is for a Tier 1 Global Client.

Candidates who have a good background in QA/QC roles will immediately be assessed.

You will support an implementation and remediation exercise for our client, undertaking quality checks on a population of their risks and controls, providing written and verbal feedback to control owners and providing support and coaching through the remedial activity.

Deliverables:

Ongoing support of risk and control owners whilst undertaking the remediation exercise, including:

  • Completion of supporting documentation templates (Risk and Control Matrix template and risk record minimum standards template);
  • Gap analysis of risk/control record against minimum standards;
  • Follow up meetings with risk/control owners for further guidance/review;
  • Support throughout control/causes mapping exercise; and
  • Pre-QA of record before submission to the QA team to ensure it meets minimum standards.
  • Provision of feedback following QA with, where required, facilitation of workshops and coaching sessions with Risk Owners and Nominees

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in an operational risk/control environment
  • Adherence to procedural, regulatory requirements and standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Articulate in both written and verbal communication
  • IT literate, proven experience of a working knowledge of MS Office - Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience in a target driven environment
  • Ability to handle conflict or challenges to decision making
  • Proven experience of working in a role where attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to provide feedback (written and verbal) in a concise, accurate, constructive and timely manner

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of working in an operational environment
  • Wider windows-based applications
  • Experience of working in financial services
  • Understanding of general insurance products
  • Experience of working in a QA/QC capacity
  • Previous audit exposure
