Beschreibung

We are looking for an IT Project Manager (m/f/d) for a client project in Bonn/remote.

Task description

  • Ensure end-to-end solution delivery perspective taking into consideration technical components, as well as tangential and relevant processes, training, and communications.
  • Review of relevant documents and reports; identify and initiate follow-up actions.
  • Identify priorities, problems and issues to be addressed and propose corrective actions.
  • Drive prioritization and feasibility discussions, including recording decisions requiring trade-offs.
  • Manage scope and decision process around any changes to expected project outcomes, delivery commitments, and/or schedule.
  • Develop framework and rigor for governance, decision making, dependency and risk management.
  • Provide a path toward issue identification and remediation with early escalation and impact analysis.
  • Lead development and continuous management of project roadmaps and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to project delivery.
  • Exercise due financial diligence of overall project budget, actuals, and forecast and develop a contingency plan.
  • Ensure alignment across delivery teams who may represent resources from multiple internal (client teams ) and external sources (product teams ).
  • Identify resources necessary for delivery, including required subject matter experts for guidance when needed.
  • Ensure seamless cooperation between the different teams and the well-being of the staff assigned to the project.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as an effective spokesperson for the project and establish collaboration and partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels within the organizations and beyond.
  • Communicate in a structured manner across stakeholders and delivery teams, including on progress made and issues and proposed solutions.
  • Perform any job-related activity required to meet the overall goals and objectives of the project team.

Job requirements:

  • University degree in computer sciences, mathematics, engineering, or in a related discipline. Substantial professional experience in the field may be accepted in lieu of a degree in the relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT Project Management, including proven experience managing the successful delivery of large and complex projects to the satisfaction of customers and end users;
  • Certification and/or expert knowledge of a recognized IT Project Management methodology (eg PRINCE2, PMI) is strongly preferred;
  • Experience in software development projects is needed.
  • Experience in managing vendors is needed.
  • Certification and/or expert knowledge of Agile methodologies or approaches is needed
  • Certification and/or expert knowledge of applying Agile methodologies or approaches at large scale (eg SAFE) is desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff as well as end users;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English;
  • Proven experience working in international organizations;
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize and deliver tasks on time and to produce quality results while meeting established goals;
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
  • Ability to generate innovative, practical solutions to challenging situations;
  • Effective participation in a team-based, information-sharing environment, through collaboration and cooperation with others;
  • Able to manage his/her own time and dependencies effectively to deliver high-quality documents per the time frames agreed and escalating issues to the responsible manager as appropriate.
  • Experience in developing or implementing Virtual Conference Systems and familiarity with current virtual meeting solutions/tools in the market.
  • Experience in organizing large Conferences or similar type of events.
  • Knowledge of intergovernmental processes.
