Would you like to be a part of a team with the primary focus on the future of sustainable aircraft? Do you have experience as a RAMS Engineer within the Aerospace domain? Read below!

My client, a well-established Aerospace company based in Munich, are looking for RAMS experts to join their team, some key information is detailed below:

Tasks & Responsibilities

Safety engineering

  • Identify aircraft safety requirements through customer iteration and documentation review (such as contract, engineering drawings, procedures etc.)
  • Establish and verify that product designs, plans, and procedures meet all applicable Safety regulations for fabrication, test, flight and all operations of the product life cycle.
  • Identify hazards and propose mitigation solutions associated with the procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, operation and maintenance of aircraft, aircraft systems as well as support equipment.
  • Perform hazard analysis according to industry standards: Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), etc.
  • Liaise with customer safety engineering lead to design a sound certification strategy to comply with Design Means of Compliance and support technical discussions with certification in the context of Type Certificate achievement.
  • Support customers to develop specific Risk Assessments (RA) such as Zonal Safety Analysis and Particular Risk Analysis among others.

R&M engineering

  • Perform industry analysis such as Functional Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Assessment (RA).
  • Support the collection and analysis of failure data by means of a FRACAS process and contribute to the Reliability Review Board discussions and analysis of derived Safety effects for field occurrences and incidents.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the field of Safety Engineering in Aerospace
  • Relevant experience in other areas of RAMS engineering
  • Experience in FAR CS-23 & CS-25 is essential whilst FAR CS-27, CS-29, SC-VTOL and SC-Light UAS will be considered beneficial
  • Proficiency in English is required; both written and spoken. Knowledge of German a will be considered an added value.
