The operations in Nuremberg are mainly focusing on prototyping and hence the lab networks primarily used, are in an early development phase.This assignment is about providing lab support services.Typical tasks in the lab area are the following (not exclusive):Job description Lab support:
- Documentation of test places (IP addresses, Test place setup, i.e. how the different test instruments and devices are interconnected)
- Lab network labelling work: Switches / how they are patchedo Test instruments IP addresses (to avoid IP address conflicts - IP address assignment is static)
- Structured storage of lab network relevant information (documentation on lab description, test place setups, etc.)
- Maintenance of the information (information to be keptup-to-date), reachable by intranet page.
- Software and hardware updates of 3rd vendor test equipment (including documentation)
- General test support of regression test
- Collection of lab network specific needs and ordering.
- Execution of regular network scan (identify devices connected into the lab network which are not correctly configured).
- Track Access SW Test Instrument:* SW and HW status * position and utilization of deviceso keep information up-to-date in instrument database (in alignment with HW lab support)* place/replace barcode labels on lab places where needed
- Organize and maintenance of a small set of tools and cables per lab (depending of the lab needs e.g.: screwdrivers, USB-/Network-Cables,).
- Minimum certified electrical engineering technician "staatlich gepruefter Elektrotechniker" or similar degree in relevant Telecommunication/ Engineering field
- Dedicated, extensive experience with Lab support
- Experience with handling of specific test equipment (signal generator, signal analyser, logic analyser and pattern generator)
