The migration manager will be entrusted to outline the overall Data Center consolidation (DCC) migration/transformation strategy, develop migration wave plan and align the plan with Organizational Entities (OEs) and other stakeholders to execute end to end migration and transformation activities.
Responsibilities:
Take a lead role to align and coordinate between the OEs & outsourcing service provider and the customer to prepare OE specific migration planning and execution timeline
Steer service provider on discovery and detailed analysis for relevant OE in scope
Manage and contribute OE Technical T&T specific risk & issue management process
Prepare Migration Solution Blueprints documents for DCC Wave2 & Wave3 candidates and support OE boarding process
Align stakeholders to prepare migration scenarios for selected Core applications into DCC target landscape
Align and coordinate with network and system architects to come up with appropriate technical solution to migration OE legacy application infrastructure into DCC FMO solution
Prepare and align all migration related firewall (FCC) and change management processes and follow up with relevant team to get them implemented in a timely manner
Take a lead role in the migration cutover planning and coordinate and align all necessary customer & OE resources to support the migration
Manage & coordinate with all other external teams (AVC, AGN etc.) to resolve all migration related dependences
Use project management skills to resolve issues between various stakeholders during various technical migration phases
Skill:
? Excellent experience on datacenter consolidation and IT transformation projects
? Excellent knowledge of open systems (x86, pSeries etc. servers) and / or mainframe infrastructure migration experience
? Excellent knowledge of virtualization, server and mainframe / midrange infrastructure migration experience
? Basic experience and knowledge of Data Center LAN & wide area network topics
? Good knowledge about application migration & user access management processes
? Project Management skills
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Organized/strong administrative skills
? Leadership & conflict management skills
? English and German fluency both written and orally
