System Engineer - Securities Lending and Borrowing (m,f,d) 100%, ZürichProject: We are collaborating with a leading banking institution in Zürich, renowned for its innovative solutions in the financial sector.
Joining the Securities Lending and Borrowing team as an application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing a trading and risk modeling platform. This position offers a stimulating environment with close collaboration across business units, ensuring a rewarding experience for those seeking professional growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development and maintenance of critical components within the Trading and Risk modeling platform, operating in a cloud environment.
- Undertake "run the bank" tasks to ensure system availability and stability, addressing any operational issues promptly.
- Provide support for daily operations and investigations, including trade processing and reconciliation breaks.
- Propose recommendations for system and process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Generate customized reports to fulfill business requirements and support decision-making processes.
- Play a pivotal role in automating Securities Lending and Borrowing operations, contributing to overall business efficiency.
- Actively participate in Agile routines and rituals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support system upgrades by providing expert advice and conducting thorough testing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Hands-on experience as an IT Engineer, Administrator, or Developer.
- Proficiency with "FIS Securities Finance Trading and Collateral Platform" (formerly known as "Apex Collateral Management/Finance").
- Experience with Triorislov and Equilend would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of Securities Lending and Borrowing business processes.
- Expertise in Java/JMS and SQL development.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with stakeholders across management, business, IT, and external vendors.
- Willingness to work on public Swiss/Zurich holidays when foreign markets are operational, on a rotational basis.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies
