Project Tasks & Responsibilities
Translate customer requirements into a compliant applications architecture and technical applications designs and/or reference architectures. Application Architects must have in-depth knowledge of applicable technologies, industry disciplines, regulatory and technical standards and application components. The Application Architect must be able to comprehend the underlying processes and dependencies in support of the business objectives.

Operational Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop and implement infrastructure solutions (server, storage, network or infrastructure software tools, database, Middleware, etc.) and procedures involving multiple domains. Lead complex deployments.

Skills & Competences (General, Technical & Languages)
Validate business requirements as presented and work collaboratively to design the application and/or product solution in support of these requirements.
Develop and specify end-to-end solutions aligned with the Supplier vision and delivered using a common set of processes and tools.
Provide application solution consulting.
Lead the design and documentation of the application architecture of the solution.
Document and present the solution to both Supplier and Customer Senior level management.
Plan the design, development, integration, test and implementation of all application architectural components. Ensure the application design enables testing and considers system management and operational support.
Participate in the definition and launch of application development projects and lead technical reviews and health checks at appropriate project milestones.
Monitor market trends and the recommendations of standards bodies to ensure that the Supplier is positioned to define appropriate application architecture Comply with Supplier Corporate Methods and Processes.
Adhere to Supplier Technology Policy where appropriate for the Client and to software engineering standards and best practice.
Exposure to or technical knowledge of SAP, Weblogic, IIS, Apache and/or Tomcat deployment/management would be useful.

Interfaces
Works closely with the Customer Technology Office team, reports to the Supplier Chief Technology Officer & Supplier Delivery Manager.

Qualifications/Education
Graduate Level, Recognised Industry/professional qualifications in particular technologies &/or Methodologies.
